Standard Dentistry:
  • Exams, fillings, extractions, x-rays, root canals, scale and polish: paid by scheme
Specialised Dentistry:
  • Crowns, bridges, dentures: R5,250 per person
  • Implants: 1 per person, every 3 years, limited to R10,000
In-Hospital Dentistry:
  • Wisdom teeth: R15,000 per case, 1 case per person per year
  • Under 9yrs old: extractions and fillings, R10,000 per person, once per lifetime
  • Maxillo-facial surgery: Covered , if as a result of major trauma or accident
Orthodontics:
  • No benefit
Note:
  • PMBs: Prescribed Minimum Benfits. To read more about PMBs click here
  • DSPs: Designated Service Provders. Where stipulated, you must use specific specific providers to get full benefit.
  • Co-payment: Paid out of pocket, or out of savings account. Sometimes this is refundable to you if you have a gap product
