  • General anaesthetic benefits for impacted teeth. IV conscious sedation benefits for in-room procedures
  • Note: Most cancers are PMBs, and treatment is paid in full by scheme. More info here
  • Most schemes require use of specific providers (DSPs) for oncology treatment.

  • Plastic Dentures: 1 set, full or partial per person every 4 years

  • Intra-oral x-ray: from protocols
  • Extra-oral: 1 per person, every 3 years
Scans:
  • Crowns: 3 crown per family
  • Implants: 2 implants, up to R5,000 per implant, per person every 5 years
  • Metal dentures:2 partial frames per person, every 5 years. One per family per year

  • Traumatic event claims: 6 counselling sessions per person per year, for the year in which the trauma event occurred and the year after

  • PMBs: Prescribed Minimum Benefits. Here is a list of PMB conditions: Mental Illness.
  • DSPs: Designated Service Provders. Where stipulated, you must use specific specific providers to get full benefit.
  • Co-payment: Paid out of pocket, or out of savings account. Sometimes this is refundable to you if you have a gap product
