Discovery Medical Scheme has 18 regular plans in 5 series (Comprehensive, Priority, Smart, Saver and Core) and 4 capitated plans (Keycare Start, Keycare Start Regional, Keycare Core and Keycare Plus). All these are listed below, in order of price. Click on the plan name to see full benefits for that plan.
Note:
- Classic Plans pay specialists at 200% scheme rate.
- Essential plans pay specialists at 100% scheme rate.
- Delta Plans require you to use a Network for overnight procedures. Almost all plans require network hospitals for day procedures.
- Coastal Plans limit you to usage of hospitals in coastal provinces only, unless an emergency
- Capitated Plans require usage of strict networks. Premiums are adjusted to your income level.

These plans may have a savings account, a self payment gap and a generous Above Threshold Benefit (ATB). The Executive Plan has an unlimited ATB, which makes it the top plan for Discovery. (Read about ATBs here).
