Standard Dentistry:
  • Children under 18:checkups, scale and polish, flouride treatment, fillings, extractions, x-rays, paid by scheme
  • Otherwise, from day-to-day benefit
Specialised Dentistry:
  • From day to day benefit
In-Hospital Dentistry:
  • Impacted wisdom teeth: Dentist account paid by scheme, if done in-chair, otherwise R3,880 co-payment and dentist account From day to day benefit
  • Extensive treatment for children under 7yrs: Paid by schemes, with R3,880 co-payment and dentist account From day to day benefit
Orthodontics:
  • No benefit

  • PMBs: Prescribed Minimum Benfits. To read more about PMBs click here
  • DSPs: Designated Service Provders. Where stipulated, you must use specific specific providers to get full benefit.
  • Co-payment: Paid out of pocket, or out of savings account. Sometimes this is refundable to you if you have a gap product
